Fun Summer Kid Snacks!

Are your kids bored with the usual snacks?  Do you have older kids who want more "grown up" snacks?  Try these!

Red, White and Blue Fruit Tray:
Easy but looks fun!  Fresh diced pineapple, sliced strawberries and blueberries in a colorful arrangement.  Excellent way to make sure they eat and stay hydrated on those hot summer days when they don't want to eat much.

Strawberry Pretzel Parfaits:
Prepare one package of vanilla pudding according to directions and refrigerate for 15 minutes or until set.  Using custard cups, line the bottom with crushed pretzel bits.  Top with 2 scoops of vanilla pudding.  Top with fresh sliced strawberries.  Add another 2 scoops of vanilla pudding.  Top with more strawberries.

Cheesy Sausage Snackers:
Separate refrigerated crescent dough into triangles.  Break slices of American cheese into triangles and place on crescents, top with one cooked breakfast sausage link (great way to use breakfast leftovers or you can use the little smokies).  Roll starting at the short side.  Bake at 350 degrees about 8 minutes or until crescent is golden.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Honey Crunch Dip:
In a small bowl mix 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 1 cup peanut butter.
Scoop with celery sticks, apples, pretzels, or graham crackers!
